PURPOSE: To realize the system in which deterioration in information transfer capability is not caused even when number of function elements is increased in the bus contention control system in a common bus system. CONSTITUTION: In the common bus system where plural function elements 100 send/receive information via a common bus 200, the common bus is realized by a self-routing switch 210 and information to be sent from a relating function element to the common bus is assembled into a cell by adding transfer destination identification information to the information and sent to the self-routing switch to be reached to a destination function element. The system is provided with a sell assembler deassembler means 300 that extracts the information from a cell reached from the self-routing switch and transfers the information to a destination function element and an occupied time of the common bus is divided into plural time slots. When a use request of the common bus takes place from a function element, it is attained by providing a time slot occupancy means 400 that occupies an idle time slot of the common bus and transfer the information sent by the relating function element.
