PURPOSE: To correct reliably a positional slippage of a disk carrying part due to a shock or the like by conducting a positioning operation automatically, in the case when the carrying part is present at a position different from a prescribed one. CONSTITUTION: When a positioning instruction comes after a disk carrying part 2 is moved to a reproducing part 4 according to an instruction on reproduction, and in the case when the position of the carrying part 2 is judged by a control part not to be coincident with a prescribed position recognized thereby, a lift part 3 is returned to the original position in the direction of the axis -Y and a positioning operation is executed again. By repeating this operation, the carrying part 2 is made to coincide finally with the prescribed position. Even when a disk changer is put in such an environment as to cause vibration, on a vehicle in particular, and the position of the disk carrying part slips due to a shock of acceleration, stop, vibration or others, this slippage can be corrected reliably according to this constitution. |
