<p>A process for making a thermal image on a multilayered film for use in screen printing. The film (10) includes a clear transparent carrier front side (16) and an emulsion-coated back side (18). The thermal image (23) is imprinted with an ultraviolet photosensitive wax barrier on the front side of the film. The area (27) around the image is left unprotected without a wax barrier. The front side of the film is exposed to ultraviolet light (32) with the barrier preventing a mirror image on the emulsion side from hardening. The unhardened emulsion is removed leaving the desired mirror image surrounded by the hardened exposed area.</p> |
