<p>A thermal transfer recording medium comprising a support (1), a heat-meltable ink layer (2) formed on one side thereof, and a heat-resistant sliding layer (3) formed on the other side thereof. The sliding layer (3) contains a silicone copolymer having functional groups and an isocyanate compound in a weight ratio of 70:30 to 50:50. Preferably the functional group is carboxyl and the silicone copolymer is a polyorganosiloxane graft polymer having a vinyl copolymer as the main chain. The copolymer has a silicone content of 30-50 % and an acid value of 50-70 mgKOH/g. Examples of the isocyanate compound include polyisocyanates having three or more functional groups, such as an adduct of a difunctional xylylene diisocyanate with trimethylolpropane.</p> |
