<p>A kit which includes a perfluorocarbon liquid and a microparticulate medicament dispersed in a gas is used in the treatment of a pulmonary condition in a mammal. The kit is used in a multiple step method for delivering the medicament to the lungs. In this method, a biocompatible perfluorocarbon liquid is introduced into the lungs and a microparticulate medicament is introduced into the lungs where it is dispersed into the pulmonary spaces which are filled or coated with the perfluorocarbon liquid.</p> |
