PURPOSE: To view different video images with improved separation depending on different observation positions and directions regardless of the same display screen and to view them with image quality for which luminance is uniform in a display device used for a video telephone and a video conference system, etc. CONSTITUTION: The display screen 100 provided with microperspectively small dispersion angle characteristics for incident light and provided with a light convergence function over the entire screen is used. On the same display screen 100, projection and display are performed from plural projection devices 11, 12 and 13 whose projection angles are different. In this case, projection angle differences ϕ12 and ϕ23 among the projection devices 11, 12 and 13 are compared with the dispersion angle 2δ of the display screen and the dispersion angle 2δ is set to be smaller. By the setting and the light convergence function, the separation in the case of separating and observing respective projection video images in plural observation areas 17, 18 and 19 whose observation directions are different is improved. Also, by converging projection light into the observation direction by the light convergence function, screen peripheral luminance is improved. |
