PURPOSE: To provide a positive plate for a lead acid battery decreasing a corrosive amount of a grain interface in a current collector further to enable adhesiveness to improve between an active material layer and the current collector. CONSTITUTION: A current collector composed of lead-calcium alloy, after heating, is quickly cooled, to enlarge crystal grain size of the current collector. The current collector is charged with active material paste, to prepare an undried plate, and this undried plate is matured and dried to prepare an unformed positive plate. After forming the unformed positive plate, it is immersed in a dilute sulfuric acid solution, to form a fine layer of α-PbO2 in a surface part of the current collector. |
