PURPOSE: To keep resolution at a level as high as possible as well as the elimination of roughness of an image. CONSTITUTION: This image display device is equipped with an image display device formed by arranging plural picture elements in two-dimensional fashion and periodically, and an optical low-pass filter arranged in front of the image display device. The spatial frequency of the first minimum value of MTF in one direction of the optical low-pass filter is decided by two fundamental frequency vectors M, N of a sampling frequency decided by the arrangement of picture element of the image display device, and that of the first minimum value of MTF in another direction by the difference ±(N-M) of the fundamental frequency vectors. |
