<p>PURPOSE: To provide a joint thermo compression bonding apparatus which can surely prevent compression bonding failure with a simple structure and improve the reliability of the joined parts. CONSTITUTION: Regarding a joint thermo compression bonding apparatus 5, the transverse width of a slide guide 18, which is a guiding member to guide the descending movement of an upper electrode 11, is set to be wider than the total length of conjunction parts W2 of both electric wires W to be cojoined. The front face 31 of the slide guide 18 is set to be at right angles to both side faces 32, 33. The front face 31 and side faces 32, 33 of the slide guide 18 compose a positioning means of the electric wires W. Detection lines 34-37 in vertical direction which become a length detecting means to detect the length of the conjunction parts W2 are formed in the front face 31 of the slide guide 18 at position kept from each side face 32, 33 by prescribed distance L1-L4. Consequently, precise positioning can be carried out by bringing the end faces of coated parts W1 of both electric wires W into contact with the side faces 32, 33 of the slide guide 18. At that time, the length of the conjunction parts W2 of both electric wires W can be detected by the detection lines 34-37 formed in the front face of the slide guide 18.</p> |
