<p>PURPOSE: To obtain such an image fixing method by which excellent peeling property of a toner is obtd., enough fixing strength not to produce image defects by external stress can be obtd., and the supply amt. of the oil to a heating roller can be decreased by specifying the component of the toner and the releasing oil. CONSTITUTION: In this color toner, a polyester resin containing a diol component expressed by formula I as the structural part and having 2500-4500 number average mol.wt. Mn, 8000 to 350000 weight average mol.wt. Mw, 110 to 130 deg.C softening point and 60 to 75 deg.C glass transition temp. is used as a binder resin. Further, the fixing device is equipped with a heating roller and a coating device for a releasing oil. As for the releasing oil, a silicone compsn. expressed by formula II is used. The image is fixed while the releasing oil is applied in such a manner that the coating amt. of the releasing oil to a transfer body is 1.6×10<-3>μl/cm<3> . In formula I, R is an ethylene group or propylene group and x and y are integers >1 satisfying 2<=x+y<=6.</p> |
