PURPOSE: To conduct an operation of a drain pump within a proper range by a method wherein an air conditioner is provided with a float switch having a plurality of floats of a waterproof and floating structure on a linear line. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner is provided with a float switch having water- proof floats 6a, 6b having a structure floating in water in order to detect a water level of drain water generated from a heat exchanger 3. With such an arrangement, it is possible to make a free variation of moving distance of the floats 6a, 6b arranged on the linear line with movable stoppers 6c, 6d. Then, it is not necessary to change a fixing position and structure of a member 7 for fixing the float switch depending on the amount of water keeping in a water receiver 4 and further it is possible to make a common use of the member 7. In addition, it becomes possible to make an accurate knowledge of a drain water level by arranging the floats 6a, 6b on the linear line and an operation of a drain pump 5 can be more properly controlled. |
