<p>PURPOSE: To provide a plug/connector which features safety, lightweight, or a long life. CONSTITUTION: A connector comprises at least one conductor 11 having a removably attached thimble 12 at one of its ends, wherein a molded dielectric casing 21 surrounds the conductor 11 keeping the thimble being capable of connecting with a fitting-type fixture. In manufacturing the connector, the thimble 12 is aligned by a contact with a screw 20 which penetrates a jig 18. Next, the jig 18 and the thimble 12, to which the conductor 11 is fixed and which is aligned, are arranged in an interior of a mold cavity 15, a dielectric material is poured or injected around the thimble 12 and the conductor 11 in the cavity 15, and then the dielectric material is hardened.</p> |
