PURPOSE: To provide an electric discharge lamp having a mirror, an electric discharge lamp lighting device, and a lighting system capable of preventing the occurrence of external discharge between external lead wires as a pair as well as allowing the application of the compact design. CONSTITUTION: A reflecting mirror 1 with a mounting cylinder 4 formed on the back thereof houses a metal vapor electric discharge lamp 10 having external lead wires 16a and 16b led out from sealing sections 13a and 13b formed on both ends thereof, and the wires 16a and 16b as a pair are inserted in the cylinder 4 of the mirror 1, thereby forming an electric discharge lamp having a mirror. In addition, a division 25 for separating the lead wires 16a and 16b from each other is formed within the cylinder 4 of the mirror 1. As a result of the separation of the lead wires 16a and 16b with the division 25, external discharge can be prevented from taking place between the wires 16a and 16b.
