PURPOSE: To provide a battery free from a liquid leak without any reduction of a battery active material by forming an annular projection on the inner peripheral surface of a gasket bottom, regarding a button type battery with a built-in ring type gasket having U-shaped cross section. CONSTITUTION: This button type battery uses a gasket formed out of a rising section 1b clamped between a vertically pressed bottom section 1a and the cover 2 of a vessel 7, another rising section 1c built into the inner surface of the cover 2, and an annular projection formed on the section 1c or a section in the vicinity thereof. For the manufacture of the gasket, a pin gate is formed on the projection 1d and, then, the gasket is formed by applying an injection molding process to resin through the pin gate. |
