Radiating oven which consists of a plurality of horizontal chambers 1 with a cooking zone 2 and a special evaporation (vaporization) device 3. Each chamber 1 is provided with a radiating (radiator) plate 4 in its rear part and, in the cooking zone 2, with a refractory plate 5 in its lower part. The body of each radiating plate 4 consists of a plurality of conduits 12 via which the fluid flows in opposite directions in each pair of contiguous conduits 12. The evaporation devices 3 are formed by containers equipped with scrap iron 9 and they have a water-supply system 10 for the selection of the chamber or chambers in which vapour has to be produced at the desired moments. The oven is particularly suited to cooking, simultaneously and efficiently, food-product doughs, particularly bakery and confectionery products. <IMAGE>
