摘要 |
The blood to be examined (12) is exposed to endothelial cells grown on micro-substrates. The blood flows through a tube (11) into a blood reservoir (1) and held at a constant hydrostatic pressure. The frames (7,8,15,18) are hinged along a swivel axis (5) so that the lighter blood is channelled through a filter (2), while the heavier micro-substrates stay in the blood reservoir. The blood now flows to a filtrate reservoir (3) filled with an isotonic salt solution. Electric scales (6) continuously measure the amount of blood/salt solution going through the filter. A computer (61) analyses the data.
