A lawnmower is provided with a detachable closed grass-box (10) for collecting the mown grass ejected through a grass outlet opening (20). The grass-box (10) comprises runner means (13) slidably engageable with guide means (14) for guiding the grass-box from an inoperative position clear of the opening (20) to an operative position co-operating with the opening.
