The hull has its forward end, equivalent to at least a tenth of the hull's overall length, shaped to form a downward-facing outer wall (5) at the top, a curved base (3), and an upward-facing sloping wall (4) between them. The lower edge of the upward-facing wall (4) is situated above the waterline (9) when the craft is laden but at rest. The line connecting the upward-facing surface (4) to the base (3) of the hull has a minimal radius of curvature. In variants of the design the craft can have two symmetrical or asymmetrical upward-facing surfaces. |
