<p>The co-current gasifier according to the invention has a combustion chamber (1) which is closed off at the bottom at most by a grating (9) for ash removal and is equipped inside with a rotating screw (11), in order to feed upwards the material which is to be gasified and has passed through the firing zone (4). Apart from the technical advantages inherent in the basic principle concerning the purity of the gasification gas produced, the advantages of the co-current gasifier represented here are those of reduced dimensions, which allow the gasifier also to be used suitably for installations with restricted outputs.
