The existing engine is removed and a flange mounted variable speed electric motor is mounted on the existing clutch housing via a casting A. A flange B is mounted on the motor shaft to present the flywheel up to the clutch in the same relationship as the original. A 72v, 20kw motor may be used powered from a lead-acid or nickel-cadmium battery. The converted vehicle is for use in towns and suburbs. <IMAGE> |
