The separating system uses a cam follower (5) which follows the path of a grooved curve (4) such that changes in the course of the curve are translated into a rotary movement. The rotary movement is transmitted to the gripper spindle (1) carrying the gripper device (2).In the position where a separated cut-out section (16) is picked up or laid down the gripper spindle carrying the gripper device can be pivoted about a swivel axis (6). Several gripper devices are provided to give a sequence of pick-up and placing operations.
