PURPOSE: To perform chamfering work at high precision by moving a cylindrical rotating tool along a ridge line of an article to be processed by truncated cone- type guide rollers concentric to the rotary shaft of the cylindrical rotating tool without accurately moving a robot, or an arm of a manipulator on which the cylindrical rotating tool is attached along the ridge line of the article to be processed. CONSTITUTION: In a chamfering device for performing work by a rotating tool provided with a cutting blade or a grinding wheel on the outer peripheral surface, truncated cone-shaped guide rollers 4a, 4b concentric to the rotary shaft of a cylindrical rotating tool 1 are respectively provided on both side outer peripheries in the rotary shaft core direction of the cylindrical rotating tool, and both guide rollers 4a, 4b are so arranged as to be brought in contact with the surfaces on both sides for pinching the ridge line of the article to be processed.
