POLYAMIDE FILM AND ITS PREPARATION

PURPOSE: To prepare a film which has excellent piercing pinhole strength and mechanical properties and thermal dimensional stability after retorting. CONSTITUTION: This polyamide film comprises 90 to 99.99wt.% polyamide and 0.01 to 10wt.% fluoromica mineral having a swelling property, the film being stretched at least twice in at least one direction. The water content of an unstretched film comprising 90 to 99.99wt.% polyamide and 0.01 to 10wt.% fluoromica mineral having a swelling property is regulated to 1.3 to 10wt.%, and the film is then stretched to prepare the objective polyamide film.
