PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: To obtain a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition excellent in durability by mixing an acrylic resin with an isocyanate compound, a polyol compound and an epoxy silane compound. CONSTITUTION: A monomer (e.g. n-butyl acrylate) is copolymerized with a comonomer (e.g. acrylic acid) in the presence of a polymerization initiator in a solvent (e.g. toluene) to prepare an acrylic copolymer solution. This solution is mixed with 0.01-10 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. solid matter of the solution, isocyanate compound (e.g. tolynene diisocyanate), a polyol compound in an amount to give a molar ratio of the hydroxyl groups of the polyol compound to the isocyanate groups of the isocyanate compound of 0.01-5 and 0.0001-10 pts.wt. epoxy silane compound (e.g.γ-glycidoxypropyl-methoxysilane) to obtain a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition suitable for bonding an optical film to a substrate.
