PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a light and clear fabric without being crushed during a false twisting, a crimping and a bulky processing, capable of keeping light weight and having good color fastness. CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a light and clear fabric is to carry out a false twisting, a crimping and a bulky processing for a conjugate fiber consisting of a polyester having C-type cross section which contains a specific amount of sulfoisophthalic acid ingredient and dyable with a cationic dye as a sheath component and a thermoplastic polymer having higher dissolving speed in an alkali than that of the sheath component as a core component, then knit or weave to obtain a fabric, dissolve and remove the core component with the aqueous alkali solution and dye the fabric with the cationic dye at >=130 deg.C. |
