PURPOSE: To provide an image receiving body which has excellent ink setting, color development and image reproducibility even not only when solvent ink is used as image forming medium but also in a recording and duplicating system in which water base ink is used as image forming medium. CONSTITUTION: An ink receiving layer in which water absorbing urethane polymer in which a structural formula has 5 to 80wt.% of polyoxyethylene group -(OCH2 CH2 )n -} (wherein n is 1 or more integer) is used at least part of binder is provided on the surface of a support.
