PURPOSE: To obtain fusing glass hardly producing strain and excellent in chemical durability and to produce a magnetic head using the glass or a magnetic head subjected to proper fusion with the glass. CONSTITUTION: This fusing glass has >=110×10-<7> / deg.C coefft. of thermal expansion and a compsn. contg., by weight, 50-65% PbO, 15-25% SiO2 , 5-20% TeO2 , 1.5-6% R2 O (R is two or more among Li, Na and K), <=20% Bi2 O3 , <=1% Sb2 O3 or As2 O3 , <=8% B2 O3 and <=8% ZnO.
