PURPOSE: To provide a control device for a motor-operated power steering device which gives no unpleasant feeling or a sense of incompatibility such as a feeling of a steering wheel being caught even if steering is carried out immediately after the start of the device. CONSTITUTION: A control device for a motorized power steering device which is equipped with a steering torque detection means S52 for detecting steering torque of a steering system, an electric motor for generating steering-assisting force for the steering system, a control means for calculating and outputting a steering-assisting force directing value SI based on a detected torque value T and a drive means for supplying the electric motor with driving current in accordance with the directing value SI. The device is also equipped with a condition-change detection means for detecting a change of ignition switch condition and a correction means S56 for correcting the directing value SI by means of a correction value Kd×dT based on a change of the detected torque value T so that variation of the detected torque value T may be suppressed during a prescribed period of time (Ts) when a change of the condition is detected by the condition-change detection means.
