PURPOSE: To provide a glutinous rice pounding machine not causing peel in a stone mortar and pounding glutinous rice well. CONSTITUTION: A stone mortar 1 comprises granite and consequently will hardly cause peel by use. Since a lower part area 2 on the inner surface of the stone mortar 1 is conic and has no corner, rice cake is not hardly stuck to the nook of the bottom. Since an upper area 3 has the inclination of the tangent line on the inner surface from the horizontal direction discontinued from the lower part area 2 and a diameter at the upper part larger than that at the lower part, a part of the upper part area 3 close to the lower part area 2 side is made into a narrow state. Consequently, in pounding glutinous rice, rice cake which rotates by the action of rotary blades 5 is raised along the inner surface of the stone mortar 1 by centrifugal force, dropped when it reaches height not to receive the action of the rotary blades 5 and is vertically moved. The upward movement of the rice cake is made remarkable by existence of the narrow inner surface. In dropping of the rice cake, since the inner surface is made narrow, the rice cake is liable to fall on the part of the rotary blade 5. |
