PURPOSE: To provide an adhesion joint body and a method for joining the sauce, having high reliability wherein members can be easily and accurately positioned, the adhesive layer thickness can be reliably secured, adhesives to an unnecessary part is prevented from being deposited, and the strength as a joint material is improved, and a rivet to be conveniently used for joining. CONSTITUTION: A member provided with a projecting part 1a on the joining surface and a member provided with a recessed part 2a to be engaged with the projecting part on the joining surface or a through hole are joined to each other by adhesion. The projecting part is provided on the joining surface on at least one member, and the through hole is provided on an adhesive applying part. The adhesives are applied on the part except for the projecting part of the member provided with the projecting part so that it may be lower than the projecting part, and the member is joined by being matched to the member provided with the recessed part or the through hole. A rivet is provided with a mechanism to be fitted into the insertion hole. A joining method for adhesion joint body, having a process wherein a rivet provided with a fitting mechanism is inserted into, fitted to, and fixed to one side member provided with a rivet insertion hole. |
