PURPOSE: To provide a motor-operated power steering device of a great convenience, with a single unit of which steering characteristics can be set in detail to a driver's liking. CONSTITUTION: A motor-operated power steering device 20 composed of a steering speed sensor 9, a steering torque sensor 10, a vehicle speed sensor 11, a steering-characteristic setting switch 21, a control means 22 which is equipped with an assisting-current signal selection means 23, a braking-current signal selection means 24, a target-current setting means 25, a deviation computing means 18, and a drive control means 19, and of a motor driving means 13, an electric motor 8, and a motor current detection means 14. |
