PURPOSE: To obtain a protein as a component constituting human 26 proteasome which is useful for the elucidation of the functions of human 26S proteasome and the diagnosis and therapy of a variety of diseases including malignant tumors. CONSTITUTION: A P112 protein as a constituent of human 26S proteasome including the amino acid sequence of formula I and a P31 protein constituting human 26S proteasome including the amino acid sequence of formula II. They can be isolated from human organs such as kidney, liver, heart, brain, lung or the like or from a cell line such as HepG2 cell line (ATCC-HB8065) or can be synthesized by peptide synthesizing techniques but it is preferred that it is prepared by a DNA recombination technique. |
