PURPOSE: To absorb an impact which is applied to fruit and vegetables etc., and at the same time, adsorb ethylene gas etc., which is generated accompanying with the metabolism of fruit and vegetables etc. by constituting a cushioning material of an expanded resin material with gas adsorbing property, wherein at least one type of inorganic porous powder is dispersed. CONSTITUTION: A cushioning material 1 is formed into, e.g. a sheet-form, and at the same time, is constituted by dispersing an inorganic porous powder 3 in a cushioning material main body 2 made of an expanded resin. That is, the cushioning material 1 is formed in such a manner that the inorganic power is dispersed and mixed in a non-expanded expandable resin which becomes the cushioning material main body 2, and the expandable resin is expanded by stirring and formed into a bar-shape expanded body 4, and then, the expanded body 4 is cut into a sheet-shape by a cutter 5. The fruit and vegetables etc. are placed on the upper surface of the cushioning material 1 or covered with the cushioning material 1. By this method, an impact which is applied to the fruit and vegetables etc. is absorbed by the cushioning material 1, and at the same time, ethylene gas etc. being generated accompanying with the metabolism of fruit and vegetables etc. are adsorbed by the inorganic porous powder 3. |
