COLORANT FOR CERAMIC COMPOSITION AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE: To obtain a colorant capable of imparting the coloring or light shielding properties to a ceramic composition without affecting electrical characteristics of the ceramic composition. CONSTITUTION: This colorant for a ceramic composition is obtained by heat- treating a mixture prepared by mixing a Co compound with a Cr compound at >=0.3 weight ratio of Co3 O4 /Cr2 O3 respectively expressed in terms of Co3 O4 and Cr2 O3 at a temperature of at least 750 deg.C.
