PURPOSE: To allow a tool holder to be mounted to a spindle widely used for machine tools, enable efficient high-speed cutting to a workpiece and improve the durability of a tool and the spindle. CONSTITUTION: The taper shank 3 with 7/24 taper of a master sleeve 1 is fitted into the taper hole with the same taper of a spindle 26, and a taper cone 17 elastically deformable in the radial direction in relation to the peripheral surface of a shank part 11 provided at the slave holder body 10 of a slave holder 9 is fitted into the taper hole part 6 with 1/10 taper of the master sleeve 1. The 1/10 tapered peripheral surface of the taper cone 17 is brought into close contact with the peripheral surface of the taper hole part 6, and the end face of the slave holder body 10 is brought into close contact with the tip face of the master sleeve 1. The master sleeve 1 and the slave holder 9 are then connected to each other by a clamping means 15 so as to prevent the generation of vibration at the time of machining by a tool 25 mounted to the slave holder 9. |
