PURPOSE: To provide a stopping device and a rolling guide unit equipped with this stopping device contributing to improving the working efficiency in a machine tool or the like also with every easy operation to improve convenience of use to be capable of concurrently exhibiting also other various effects. CONSTITUTION: By a stopping command signal or the like generated by operating by a worker a stop operating switch or the like equipped in a machine tool or the like or by a stopping command signal or the like generated on the basis of memory information by a control part provided in the machine tool or the like, a press control means formed of a hydraulic cylinder mechanism 33 or the like is actuated, thus to press stopping members 48, 49 brought into contact against a surface of a track rail 5, so as to obtain a fixed condition. By generating a stop release command signal, the stopping member is separated from the track rail, to release the fixed condition. |
