PURPOSE: To obtain a porous film for filtration having a good function for removing polluted particles etc., by dispersing filler particles in polyolefin, dispersing ion exchange fibers in parallel to a film surface with the fiber axes arranged in the same direction, and forming network structure comprising communication holes with specified maximum pore diameter. CONSTITUTION: A fine porous film is composed of 15-70wt.% polyolefin, 84-20wt.% filler particles of 0.01-5.0μm average particle size which are dispersed in the polyolefin, and 1-10wt.% ion exchange fibers 30μm in diameter and of 200-2000μm average length. The ion exchange fibers are dispersed in the polyolefin in parallel with a film surface and in the same direction, network structure comprising communication holes the maximum diameter of which is 3.0μm or less is formed, porosity is 20-90%, and the polyolefin is molecular- oriented in the fiber axis direction of dispersed ion exchange fibers for formation. Polyethylene, polypropylene, etc., are used as the polyolefin.
