PURPOSE: To prepare a fabric for ink-jet printing comprising cellulose fiber which enables a clear and high concentration ink-jet printing without ink-staining and staining in a white area. CONSTITUTION: This fabric for ink-jet printing is prepared by impregnating a woven fabric made of cellulose fiber such as cotton having 25-60mm average fiber length, 0.6-2.2de average thickness and 70-150/cm average natural twisting into a mixture of a cationically modified polyvinyl pyrrolidone having (m)×structural units expressed by formula I and (n)×structural units expressed by formula II (X is a halogen; R1 and R2 are each CH3 or C2 H5 ), [(m):(n) is (8:2) to (2:8)], and an alkali material such as sodium carbonate or sodium bicarbonate, etc., to have adhered amounts of 0.1-50wt.% cationically modified polyvinyl pyrrolidone and 0.01-5wt.% alkali material based on the dry weight of the woven fabric, respectively, dry the woven fabric, adjust the water content to 13.5-108.5% to obtain the objective woven fabric for ink-jet printing. The woven fabric is ink-jet printed by using an ink containing a reactive dye and treated by deposition and fixation.
