PURPOSE: To obtain a thermal transfer body superior in running properties even under a high-temperature and-humidity environment and free from sticking and a head contamination. CONSTITUTION: In a transfer body for thermal recording formed by providing a thermal transfer layer on one surface of a substrate film made of aromatic polyamide, the substrate film has a Young's modulus of 700kg/mm<2> or more at least in one direction and contains 0.5%, or less methylene chloride extract.
