PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF ALUMINA

The high purity and ultrafine alumina is prepared by (a) mixing sodium-containing aluminum hydroxide with nature silica stone powder and firing, (b) separating sodium-adsorbed silica stone powder with sieving, (c) milling the separated powder in the wet ball mill and 5% hydrochloric acid solution to remove sodium on the surface of alumina and to diminish the particle size of alumina up to 1 micrometer.
