FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has housing, striker, prick punch and movable bushing between them spring-loaded in axial direction are placed in housing. Prick punch stem has head with two facets. The bushing has through notches in which balls are located. Their diameter is larger than thickness of bushing wall. Two ring-shaped turnings with conical surfaces on adjacent sides are on internal surface of housing. Depth of turnings together with thickness of bushing wall is equal to ball diameters. The device is used for article branding and center-punching, for application of irregularly-shaped prints due to utilization of mouthpieces with working surface of corresponding profile.
