The convection heater has an outer enclosure (1) that defines a convection chamber(10) and a heating element (2) placed inside the convection chamber. The enclosure has an air inlet (21) on its underside. The front face (30) of the enclosure has horizontal slotted air outlets (33) near the bottom of the front face, at a level above the level of the air inlet. The top, back and side walls of the enclosure have no openings. The convection chamber is divided into a front (11) and a rear (12) compartment by a near-vertical internal wall (13). The wall is inclined slightly toward the rear of the compartment, starting forward of the air inlets in the bottom of the enclosure. The heated air passes over the top of the wall(14) to enter the front compartment, and must then flow downward again to reach the front outlets.
