Key-operated cylinder lock with additional remote-controlled tumbler

A lock cylinder has a core(32) rotating inside a housing(30) with a tumbler system(34,36) comprising at least one group (40) which is adjusted between lock and release positions by a control signal down a conductor (24) and an actuator (26). The actuator lies outside the lock housing at a distance. The lock tumblers are for key-card or key use. The tumbler system has pegs in pairs, one in the housing one in the core, the abutting surface between the pegs providing the release criterion for the core. The controlled group comprises a similar tumbler (42) on a spring(46). The actuator sends its output down a flexible cable(28).
