Full-body plethysmograph for medical breathing function testing

The full-body Plethysmograph for medical lung function investigation consists of a hermetically sealed cabin (1) containing the patient under test (2), a manometer (8) measuring cabin pressure, a pneumotachograph (5) with mouthpiece (4), a sensor for the difference between inspired and expired air, an output device (28) and evaluation unit. The evaluation unit (28) has signal inputs from the manometer (8), pneumotachograph (5) and temperature sensor, with outputs of measured respiratory airflow, manometer reading and temperature variation. The temperature difference sensor consists of an ultrasonic source and sensor.
