<p>A method for enabling a transaction between a user and a server by setting up a call (A3-A5) between a user and a server via an automatic switching system, and transmitting user identification data to the server. According to the method, the identification data are transmitted in two stages, i.e. a first stage (A1-A2) before the call is set up (A3-A5), in which the data are read out from a data medium, and a second stage (A6) after the call is set up (A3-A5), in which the identification data are transmitted to the server by the automatic switching system. The method is useful for telephone transactions.</p> |
