<p>Operating circuits (17, 50, 71, 97) for a solenoid-actuated lock (10) mounted interiorly of a garage door (12), to provided additional security. The operating circuits are electrically connected to the solenoid operator (20) of a normally closed latch (22) that cooperates with the garage door in the closed position. The circuits are designed for use with an automatic garage door opener (19) or a manually opened garage door (12), and include integrated circuit logic (50, 97), relay logic (17, 71), or the equivalent to allow authorized opening of the garage door; if a forced attempt is made to open the garage door, when the garage door is in the secured position, the circuitry will activate an alarm (H) or other security device and prevent the garage door from being opened.</p> |
