The working cylinder has a housing (1) with a pressure medium accumulator (16), which is supplied by a compressed air source (P). The accumulator has at least one accumulator chamber (17). The chamber is in flow connection with the piston chamber (5) in the housing. The accumulator may form an integral part of the housing. Piston and accumulator chambers may be linear, and extend parallel to each other at a distance.
