<p>A machine for automatically binding vine shoots to a taut wire, essentially including at least one frame (4) hung on a high-clearance tractor (T) and provided with two pairs of counter-rotating brushes (5, 5a, 6, 6a) placed one above the other. Endless chains arranged downstream the brushes have fingers (10) engaging underlying drums for sandwiching the vine shoots (3) and holding them along the wire (1) as the tractor (T) advances, whereafter the shoots (3) are automatically bound to the wire (1) by a binding system (16). The machine is particularly useful for automatically binding cordon-pruned vine foot shoots.</p> |
