Processing damp, fibrous residues produced during the mfr. of cellulose or paper and having a solids to water ratio of 20-70:80-30% comprises: (a) initially homogenising a prescribed amt. of the residues in a mixer with constant rotation or stirring; and (b) adding 0.5-3 times the amt. of a dust-like mineral material to the homogenised residues and mixing with constant rotation or stirring until a pourable product is produced having a grain size of 0.5-10 mm dia.
