In a first structure A, horizontally entering webs 4 - 9 pass round respective angled turning bars 24 - 29, registering devices 39 - 44 and rollers 54 - 59, before exiting downwardly. In a second similar structure B, webs 10 - 15 are turned at 30 - 35, registered at 45 - 50 and exit via rollers 60 - 65. The two sets of rollers 54 - 59 and 60 - 65 have their axes in respective planes 86 and 85, each of which defines an acute angle with the horizontal. An exiting passage for the webs is formed between the two sets of rollers. Exiting webs can either be led via unit D to a transverse folder H, or be fed through a longitudinal folder E to the transverse folder (figure 2). <IMAGE>
